If your end users would like register with another electricity provider, you can facilitate and automate (parts of) this process by transferring their data from your system to the new provider without having perform operations manually. 

Data such as personal contact details, preferences, or usage history can be automatically sent over as long as clients accept this in their privacy statement. 

You can trigger this process at the moment clients submit the transfer request. At this point, you may want to include a human review, and if your team decides to go ahead with the transfer, the flow can include the following steps: 

  • notify clients via email, sms, or in their personal accounts about the transfer procedure, implications, date, possible costs, and any outstanding balance that they need to pay
  • if ground team needs to run any hardware operations, notify the client when the team will arrive or set up an appointment
  • transfer account data to new provider
  • inform client that transfer is complete
  • archive client as transferred in your database, with all historical data saved accordingly
